Desert Voicebox is the only programme in the Western Sahara camps that reinforces the Saharawi cultural roots through music. Our twice-weekly traditional music workshops are delivered to an extremely high standard by two incredible local musicians: the multi-instrumentalist Mahfoud Othman- one of the few Saharawis to have mastered the 4 stringed tidinit, and the cultural director of the Boudjour camp, Adad- a professional percussionist and a master of the floor drum known as the Tbal.

We are very proud to see the love and enjoyment of traditional Saharawi music amongst our students!
