Demonstrating the $300 DIY Wooden Gantry Crane: Affordable Lifting Power!

Описание к видео Demonstrating the $300 DIY Wooden Gantry Crane: Affordable Lifting Power!

In this video, I'm excited to showcase my homemade gantry crane, a budget-friendly DIY project that you can easily replicate! I've constructed this practical crane using readily available dimensional lumber from Home Depot, including 2x4s, 4x4s, 2x6s, and 2x10s. During the construction process, I used temporary screws, but for durability and safety, all the connections are now securely bolted with 3/8" hardware.

The heart of this gantry crane is its reliable chain fall hoist, suspended by a sturdy 5/8" bolt and supported by a 5/16" chain. This setup ensures smooth and precise lifting operations. When it comes to mobility, I've added casters to the crane's base for easy transport. However, during lifting, the crane rests directly on the structure, ensuring stability and safety.

Here are some key specifications of my DIY gantry crane:

Span: 8 feet
Height: 10 feet
Throat: 5 feet
