2016+ Honda Civic Type R Subwoofer Amplifier Installation

This video is about Civic Type R Subwoofer Amplifier Installation. This installation shows me installing an aftermarket power amplifier to a 10th gen civic hatch (type r) to give the 8" subwoofer more depth and "oomph". The upgrade is worthwhile as the factory head unit doesn't provide sufficient power to cleanly drive the 2 ohm sub.

Equipment used is a Rockford Fosgate Prime series mono class D amp model R500X1D, Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-8 subwoofer, Audio Control LC2i signal processor and an AudioControl ACR1 remote bass boost control.

Power cables used were Rockford Fosgate 8 gauge power and ground wire fused with a 50A rated fuse.
