Drove down to Richmond Virginia today to check out the city. Richmond is the State Capitol of Virginia and has quite a lot to offer tourists visiting. I was only in the city for a single day, which is not even close to enough time to see everything that Richmond has to offer, but I might check it out again when the weather is nicer.

What I got to see and do:

Checked out the downtown area of Richmond and walked around for a little while
Got some fantastic fried chicken at Lee’s Famous Chicken
Went to Maymont to check out the Japanese garden and Italian garden. And to see the animal sanctuary
Explored the Virginia Fine Arts Museum

If you are visiting Richmond I recommend checking out some of the things in this video. If you really want to see the city, you will probably need 2 days, or maybe even longer.
