Athena Cleanse increases the ORP, or Oxidation-Reduction Potential, of water, which indicates the water's ability to clean itself without the need for toxic substances like common sanitation products. This allows Cleanse to become a primary defense weapon against contaminants in the rootzone.

Because of the increased ORP, there will be an abundance of oxygen to the root zone therefore preventing over-watering issues at critical stages of growth such as clone transplanting.
