Matthew 26:17-30, Mark 14:12-26, Luke 22:7-23, John 13:1-35

Verse 1
The Passover drew near that night, the Lamb was soon to die,
“Go find a room,” said Jesus, “and there we’ll eat the Feast inside.”
A man with a water jar you’ll see—follow him where he goes,
Say, The Teacher comes, for His hour He well knows.’

Verse 2
When evening came Jesus sat with the Twelve, His friends around the board,
He said, “How I have longed to eat this meal with you - before I’m torn.
For I will soon suffer for this world—God’s covenant will be made new;
Do this to keep Me in memory until I return to you.”

Chorus
He broke the bread, He blessed the cup, His love was on display;
He washed their feet and warned of one who’d sell Him out that day.
He showed what love must look like—serve, forgive, and pray;
The Light was shining in the darkest night - Jesus chose the Victim's way.

Verse 3
Jesus took the bread and then gave thanks—“This is my body - broken for you,
Take and eat - and always remember how I died for you.”
He took the cup and said, “Here's my blood, a new covenant I give,
Poured out for many, for their sins, so that all who trust may live.”

Verse 4
They fretted: “Lord, is it I?” Each one searched his guilty soul;
Jesus said, “The hand that dips with Me will play the traitor’s role.
What has been written must be done, but woe to that wretched man!”
Then Judas took the morsel—darkness followed him as he ran.

Verse 5
Jesus rose up, laid His garments by, poured water in a bowl,
He washed their feet in silence and cleansed them, body and soul.
“Do you see what I have done? Now you must do the same;
If I, your Lord, have stooped to serve, go serve others in My name.”

When Judas left, the night grew cold, yet determined was the Son:
“A new command I give to you—love as I have done.
By this the world will know you’re Mine: when brotherly love is shown
For greater love has no man than to sacrifice Himself for his own.”

Verse 7
They sang the ancient psalms of praise, the Hallel strong and clear,
“The Lord’s right hand has triumphed, His mercy is ever near.”
Then to the Mount of Olives’ they followed where Jesus would pray—
Final Passover, first Communion - the Lamb was on His way.
