A man was taken into custody after stealing from a smoke shop near Union Gap this Monday time which led to a standoff, according to the yakima police department.

YPD says the suspect stole several small items from Smoke It's at around 12:15 p.m. before fleeing to Carl's Jr.

Smoke It's employees chased the suspect to Carl's Jr. Where they were attacked and even threatened with being stabbed before authorities arrived.
