In think video I dye 10g of twisted yarn. Usually, when dyeing yarn, you would unwind the skein and pre-soak it to get a solid colour on the yarn. I didn't want that for this yarn. I wanted to use resists to create an uneven, random colourway. So I didn't unwind the skein and I didn't pre-soak it. I put the dry, twisted skein of yarn into the dye pot to create a unique colourway. The twisted skein created natural resist points, where it was difficult/impossible for the dye to penetrate through all the yarn.

I used the kettle dyeing method to dye this yarn.
