Sonic 2 HD Version 2.0 - Demo Gameplay Showcase (SAGE 2017)

Well SAGE 2017 is a go. And I found this beautiful recreation of Sonic 2 and decided to showcase it in all of its HD glory, while also showcasing my pro MLG Sanic skillz to boot. :3

Now, on a visual standpoint it looks gorgeous. The physics... are good, there is a lot of gradience to Sonic's movement, but he feels so... heavy. It's weird and threw my off for a bit. I played Sonic 2, especially the mobile remake more times than I could count, so I should know this. Also you can't bounce in rapid succession on top of the boss in Chemical Plant Zone, as well as you can't rebound back to safety after the boss in Hill Top Zone. Well, it makes the bosses more challenging I guess.

Still, even with this nitpick, the guys behind this recreation did a fantastic job and I urge anyone watching this video to try it out :).
