Final Fight 3 (SNES) Playthrough

Описание к видео Final Fight 3 (SNES) Playthrough

A playthrough of Capcom's 1996 beat 'em up for the Super Nintendo, Final Fight 3.

This video shows two runs, both played on the "Auto 2P Play" mode and taking different routes through the game:

5:10 As Lucia w/AI-controlled Haggar, expert level

1:04:21 As Guy w/AI-controlled Dean, normal level

The Mad Gear gang was brought to heel at the conclusion of Final Fight 2 (   • Final Fight 2 (SNES) Playthrough  ), but just a few months later, a massive riot puts put the dampers on Metro City's short-lived period of relative peace. The Skull Cross Gang rises up to seize control of the city, and instead of calling in the National Guard, mayor/vigilante/pro wrestler Mike Haggar once again enlists the help of a few friends and takes to the streets to bash some heads.

Final Fight 3 was the fourth and final release in the series for the SNES, but Capcom pulled out all the stops to give it a memorable send-off.

It features several new elements that expand and improve upon the formula established by the first two games. Haggar and Guy are joined by Lucia (who later appeared in Street Fighter V) and Dean, two newcomers with their own unique fighting styles. Several levels have multiple exits that lead to alternate paths through the story. The mechanics and controls have been refined through the introduction of command specials, super moves, evades, and dash attacks. And for solo players yearning for the chaos of a 2P game, the "Auto 2P Play" mode provides a competent AI-controlled partner to fight at your side.

At its core, Final Fight 3 is more of the same, but the changes freshen it up enough to make it worth your time. The action flows better than ever thanks to the buttery smooth controls, the branching paths give the game's replayability a considerable boost, and the graphics and soundtrack are top-notch. The character and enemy sprites are huge, the backgrounds are full of detail, and the soundtrack is home to some of the best tunes in the series.

It's not perfect - extended periods of severe slowdown are common, and the music is tinny and drowned in reverb - but those things are relatively minor in light of everything that Final Fight 3 does so well. This was one of the SNES's must-play titles of 1996.
