I requested the house owner to allow me to photograph the exterior of his ancestral home. A pleasant morning of December, around 8.40am.

The generous man invited me, showed me all the rooms of the 140-year-old house.

I was an absolute stranger to Alex, the house owner.
I noticed tiled roofing of a house while driving through a village in Kottayam,Kerala.

As I walked onto the compound of the pretty vintage house, a handsome man attired in a white shirt invited me with a smile.

Within a few seconds of conversation, Alex decided to allow me to walk inside his house which was built during his great grandfather's time.

Alex insisted that I have a coffee, prepared by his wife.

The couple welcomed me to their dining room and narrated the history of a memorable Christian family house. A family photograph framed and mounted on the dining room wall showcases a sense of cohesiveness of a large family. The family picture was photographed during the wedding occasion of Alex's son.

Humans and homes fascinate me.
