The simulation presents the Object 140's 100mm BR-412D projectile impacting the upper glacis of the M48 from ~250m.

The 110mm Cast Homogenous Armour (CHA) upper glacis has been modelled with a ~230BHN hardness.

The 100mm projectile has been modelled with progressive hardening, ranging from ~650BHN at the nose, to ~400BHN at the base. It has been assumed that the Object 140 would use the same BR-412D Armour-Piercing Capped Ballistic-Capped (APCBC) projectile as the T-54. There is a lack of sources for its muzzle velocity out of the D-54TS cannon, with a 1015m/s muzzle velocity being taken from Warthunder.

Soviet tests on a captured M48 showed that the standard 100mm D-10T could not penetrate the upper glacis from any range, with a muzzle velocity of ~1000m/s needed for 'sharp-tipped' projectiles (however, this may be referring to BR-412 and not BR-412D). While the first simulation is at only ~126m/s more than the second, the nose breaks quicker, allowing the body to dig in more without deflecting.
