In an alternative version of current Los Angeles where fantastical creatures such as Orcs, Elves, and Fairies cohabit with humans, an already fragile balance between species is challenged when seasoned cop Daryl Ward teams up with rookie cop and the first Orc to join the department, Nick Jacoby. In those conditions, things will take a turn for the worst as a routine night patrol quickly leads to a mysterious female Elf, Tikka, and a famous item that all races would murder for. Only a Bright is said to be capable of wielding the powerful relic; but, can Daryl and Nick protect it while remaining alive, given that everyone in the city is wanting it?
