Keep Raccoons Away. How to Keep Raccoons Out From Your Yard With an Electric fence

UPDATE: The electric fence has been up now for over a month. The GFCI does not trip, which initially was a concern. The electric fence definitely works. I watch our video recordings every morning, and no raccoons at all in our pool. We have lived here for over 20 years, and usually had the raccoons come in and drink water and swim at least a couple of times per week, leaving feces in the pool or on the deck. Finally the raccoons are staying away!

I finally found a solution to keep raccoons out of my pool deck. They would come in and swim in the pool, and leave feces on the pool deck and in the water. I didn't want to hurt them, just scare them away, and this electric fence was the solution. It keeps the raccoons away. If you are having the same problem as me or with raccoons coming into your garden and ruin your flowers or vegetables, then this may be your solution as well.
