I bet some of you didn't know that Marshall kept producing Super Lead and Super Bass also throughout the 1980s in the JCM800 series. Today I'm comaring a 1987 Marshall JCM800 Super Lead to a 1976 Marshall JMP Super Lead to determine if they still had the tone in the 1980s! I'm using a 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9 and a 1971 Marshall 4x12 model 1960A with the stock Celestion G12M25 75Hz Greenbacks with Pulsonic cones.
