GH5 Mark II + SIGMA 16mm F1.4 Cinematic Footage

Описание к видео GH5 Mark II + SIGMA 16mm F1.4 Cinematic Footage

I recently picked up a Panasonic GH5 Mark II along with the Sigma 16mm F1.4 micro four-thirds lens and I wanted to test it out by getting some cinematic footage!

In my opinion, the GH5 m2 is an amazing purchase as it can deliver cinema level quality for less than half the price of top mirrorless cameras such as the Sony A7S3 and Canon R5. All the footage in this video was recorded at 4k 10bit 60fps and slowed down to 24. The camera can do variable frame rate and reach up to 180 fps, but only with 8 bit footage. If you're someone who needs slow mo 10-bit footage, I would suggest saving up and getting something else. But 60fps 10bit works fine for me.

The Sigma 16mm F1.4 was the lens I chose to buy along side this camera. The lens is actually quite inexpensive for the quality of image you can get out of it. Some say the 1.4 aperture is too shallow but it actually works decently well on a micro four-thirds system due to less light entering the sensor. Sigma lenses have been known to be some of the sharpest on the market and this one is no exception. When focused properly, the sharpness that comes out of this lens is beautiful.

That brings me to one flaw with the GH5 m2. It's a known flaw within the Panasonic line of cameras and it's the autofocus. If you are someone who NEEDS good autofocus, I would suggest getting a Canon instead because the Panasonic cameras have never really been known for decent autofocus. The autofocus can work, but it's not the most reliable thing in the world. The manual focus doesn't really make up for it either because the lenses on these cameras tend to use focus by wire.

However, besides that, I'm more than happy about my purchase and I'll be using for my client shoots as well as creating new content on this channel! Hope you stick around and enjoy!
