Penang Trip 2022 - Bukit Bendera, Penang Hill

After a visit to Entopia, Penang's ButterflyFarm Park, with just 3 hours before Daddy finishes work, we decided to go up Penang Hill a.k.a Bukit Bendera. Research shown that the peak hours for going up to Penang Hill are early morning and early evening. These are the time people would go up for a jog and hike under cooling condition.
The queues can be crazy and it's advisable to get the fast lane ticket during the peak hours. As we saw less crowd, we proceeded to buy normal lane tickets. It's the same price for senior citizen above age 60 for fast lane or normal lane. So, be sure to get fast lane for senior ticket.
Fast Lane: Kid RM20, Adult RM40, Senior RM6
Normal Lane: Kid RM6. Adult RM12, Senior RM6

Managed to get the front train to go up. View was spectacular. There were some stops along the way for people who wants to stay at the midway. Once we reached the top, we rented a buggy to take us around. The buggy driver was really informative. It was breezy and cooling. Some people would stop at the Monkey Cup Café, where they can enjoy some Forest Coffee and views of different Nepenthes, pitcher plants. The café provides free 4x4 ride back to the train station. There were a lot of people there, so, we decided to stop by at the Habitat café.
The Habitat is a forest that is 130 million years old . You can camp and learn all about the forest.
Entrance ticket Price: Adult RM60, Kid RM40, Family 2A2K RM160
The café serves good curry puffs, Oreo cake and hot chocolate. The ambience is great with sounds of nature and is not too hot.
After eating, we walked back to the station. Spotted a black giant squirrel. We managed to get the front train seat again as we were the first to arrive at the waiting area. Overall, it was a nice visit and a great getaway from Malaysia's heat. There were definitely a lot more to cover. It would be good to have 1 day at the Habitat and half a day at Penang Hill.
