Arguably no other shapeshifter in mythology is as famous or terrifying as the werewolf. But the concept of cursed individuals transforming into animals or animal-like monsters is not limited to the wolf. In places where wolves aren't found, other werebeasts have crawled forth from scary stories. Werejaguars from South America, werehyenas from Africa, weretigers from Asia, and more!
