I had to cut out a lot of spit up, comforting, etc and I left some as well because I really want to stress that it's not a rush. It's ok if it takes you a few minutes - sometimes it may be 15 seconds and other times might be a few minutes. It's ok- take a deep breath, concentrate on you and your baby's needs in that moment and don't feel bad that baby seems fussy initially. The worst thing (often) that we can do with a baby who is feeling stressed, dealing with reflux, etc is to try and force everything as quickly as possible. It's ok to take your time 💗

This is a basic hug hold. The legs could be tucked in, but you'd bring the panel fully over baby on each side if they are really small and curled. But, legs out once they are unfurled is going to be a better option. There's no need to wait for a specific weight, etc- it's just based off your individual baby's needs and where they are.

Most stretchy wrap brands advertise as 8+lbs for a starting weight and to speak with your healthcare provider before then. Mostly you're looking to ensure your baby doesn't have underlying conditions that could potentially make it more risky. Size alone isn't typically an issue- but just check in with them if you're not sure.

If using a stretchy wrap with a newborn, try to keep in mind that you want it SNUG!! The most common issue is a too loose wrap, which leads to slumping and the chin tucking down to the chest (which can compromise their airways- most at risk in newborns.)
