Kings Cave is more so "cliffeneering" rather than "canyoneering", but not to say it's not a spectacular and worthwhile route because it totally is! The partly exposed class 3 (couple parts class 4) approach scramble is part of the fun. We scrambled up to Boyton Canyon's Deadman's Dome, traverse the ridge and coconino shelve before dropping in right above the huge shelter cave.

There are 3 epic rappels on this route. The 220' which drops you in front then right below the "cave", the 105' triple tiered rappel, then a 30' right before the 145' which drops you into the area surrounded by trees which you hike out from. Other than the 30' rap, all the rappels have free' hanging elements to them, which makes part of the fun.
