Nourlangie Rock Art Kakadu National Park - S02 - Northern Territory - E13 - Big Lap of Australia

Today’s adventure on our trip around Australia takes us to the largest National Park in Australia, Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory.

The Nikitin family explore Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory which is home to two famous Aboriginal rock Art Galleries and in this episode we visit one Kakadu National Parks biggest draw cards Nourlangie/Burrunguy Rock Art Site which is home to some of the world’s most outstanding Rock Art and is one of the reasons for Kakadu’s dual world heritage status.

Nourlangie or Burrunguy is located 36km south of the town of Jabiru and we went on the Burrunguy/Nourlangie walk which passes several breathtaking Aboriginal art sites and leads up to Kunwarddewardde lookout which overlooks lightning dream which is a sacred and dangerous site and is home to Namarrkon - Lightning Man who is the reason for the stunning electrical storms which occur here every year.
