PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This painting tutorial will take you through easy step-by-step instructions on how to paint this exciting and humorous animal image of "BEAR BUBBLE BATH” with acrylic paint. Although they are big, buff, and burley, bears are not malicious at all, rather, they are very gentle animals who possess a very joyful, social and playful demeaner. Especially mother bears who are quite sensitive and affectionate with their cubs. Sure, there are reasons to be fearful of bears in the right environment and under certain circumstances, just like many other animals in the wild, but bears are easily startled and are quite fearful of humans. Whether it’s a grizzly, panda, polar, black or brown, all bears have an unbelievably acute sense of smell, the best among all living animals in fact. Here’s a comparison for you; the averages dog's sense of smell is 100 times better than a human, a blood hound is 300 times better than a human, and a bear's is 7 times better than a blood hound's or 2,100 times better than a human. Pretty cool, huh? It’s this amazing sense of smell that compelled our furry friend to take a bubble bath and rid himself of any unpleasant odor before rejoining his sloth (a.k.a. group of bears) back at the den. Bears symbolize strength, family, vitality and health, and, part of being healthy is having good hygiene, as our kind Kodiak would tell you as soon as he is done scrubbing down under. So, join me and learn how to paint this comical illustration image of a bear in a tub with a yellow rubber ducky toy perched on his nose, perfect for any bathroom decor! The first lesson you’ll learn in this beginner level tutorial is how to use simple techniques for blending the abstract out of focus background for added depth and atmospheric dimension, using natural earth tone colors to create a warm, cozy, comforting, feel, the perfect sleeping environment for your brown bruin to sit in peace and enjoy his bubbles. Then, after using chalk to draw the outline for the antique cast iron claw-foot tub and fuzzy animal, you’ll learn to mix custom paint colors to use as base coats. The next art tip you’ll learn in this canvas lesson is how to paint the plastic bird with just a few effortless brushstrokes and simple details. You’ll layer colors to give form and textures in the bear fur, and then create realistic looking dimension with properly placed highlights and shadows on the head to develop contour and form. Use a similar technique to create form to the tub, giving it a round and realistic 3-d appearance, like a photograph, where your bashful beast is comfortably resting. Then using complimentary colors and quick circular marks, you'll paint effervescent bubbles. Small details on the face, eyes and ears will show sweet tender cute expressions for this storybook fairytale painting. If a bear can enjoy a bath, so can you! Perfect motivation to keep yourself off the stinky list, just hang this up on the wall of your bathroom. Using only 3 brushes and 6 colors we'll create this funny conversational masterpiece that is sure to spark conversation and bring a smile to everyone’s face. So, let's get painting and let's get sipping!
