Scream ~ Live ~ 07-25-87 @ Washington D.C. [Grohl's 1st show with band]

Описание к видео Scream ~ Live ~ 07-25-87 @ Washington D.C. [Grohl's 1st show with band]

Scream played the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. on July 25th, 1987. Also playing at this show was Kingface, Swiz and 3. What a line up! Here are the last three songs (and a impromptu chant/sing-a-long). All the songs were unreleased at the time and ended up on the "No More Censorship" LP.

No More Censorship
Something In My Head
Hit Me
"I Am Free" chant

This was a Positive Force matinee show for Amnesty International and directly after the show was a march. If you are not aware of what Positive Force is, check out the DVD link below.

This Scream show is also known for being Dave Grohl's first live show with the band. Unfortunately this video is a bit dark, distant and generated, but I didn't see these songs online yet, so here it is. The "I Am Free" chant is pretty awesome and is just something that I think could only happen at a punk/independent artist show. It clearly wasn't planned and as Peter continues to sing the band slowly begins joining in, culminating in Peter repeating "Solidarity" and the crowd "woah ooh ohh"ing. Gives me chills. Knowing that there was a march/protest after the show makes it even more inspiring, to me at least.
