The Leopard plant leaves have such a tropical and lush look which is perfect for landscapes. And if that's not enough, their thick flower stems host a bouquet of yellow flowers. So who is this Leopard Plantt? It's scientific name is Farfugium japonicum and this gorgeous evergreen is native to Japan and Eastern Asia,. But it survives in zones 7–10 in the United States and it is really perfect for moist and rich soils.
The Leopard plant, also known as the Tractor Seat plant, can also be used in containers, which is great for if you are in a colder zone they can be taken in as a houseplant or go to cold storage.
Fun facts: This beautiful herb is out of the aster family an used as an antidote for fish 🐟 poisoning. But it's leaves have been used as a vegetable throughout history (Please note: I do not advise to eat this plant since I am unsure of any toxicity).
