Debarkation Day Unedited / Traveling Home / Day 8 / Alaskan Disney Cruise / September 2022

Описание к видео Debarkation Day Unedited / Traveling Home / Day 8 / Alaskan Disney Cruise / September 2022

I always struggle to edit anything out of my videos. I want to show all of it. The sights. The sounds. What it felt like to be there. I also want the finished vlog to be exciting and interesting. Not boring and not too long.

The finished videos can be shiny. The unedited versions can be rough.

These unedited videos contain all my footage with minimal cuts and no music. (Although I am using the word "unedited," they are 100% edited.) It is all my footage and memories in one place. They are just for me. So I can rest assured nothing goes to waste. It makes every moment important. Because it was.

Welcome to Day 8 of our Alaskan Disney Cruise! Join my family and I on our 7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver on the Disney Wonder! Thank you so much for watching!

You join us on Monday, September 19, 2022, for Debarkation Day and traveling home! After waking up already docked at the Port of Vancouver, Liz and I packed up the final pieces of our luggage and did one final "dad sweep" to make sure we didn't leave anything behind. We said goodbye to our cozy stateroom and went across the hall to Mom and Dad's stateroom to look out their verandah one last time. Their verandah faced the cruise ship terminal, and we all reminisced on the beginning of our journey in the very same place not too many days prior.

We headed downstairs to Triton's for our final meal on board. After a delicious and relaxed breakfast, we went up to Deck 4 to wait for our debarkation zone to be called. While chilling out on Deck 4's comfy chairs, we finally heard our group be called. We also heard a sweet farewell message from Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey!

After scanning our Key to the World cards one last time, we stepped off the ship and into the cruise terminal. We picked up our luggage, and got in line for a taxi right outside the cruise terminal's doors. It was the fastest and easiest debarkation experience any of us had ever had!

We taxied from the Port of Vancouver Cruise Ship Terminal to the Vancouver International Airport. We arrived too early to check our bags, so we waited outside for a little while and enjoyed the warm sunshine and fresh air. After checking our luggage and going through security and customs, we made it to our gate. One hour later, we boarded our flight and headed home to Chicago.

I always choose an aisle seat because I love filming takeoff, the clouds, and all the landscapes below. Mom and I ate snacks, read our books, and napped on the flight. The sunny day quickly turned to dark night as we landed in Chicago. After a pretty seamless travel day, we arrived back home and ready for bed!

Next up, an Alaskan Disney Cruise Line Haul from this trip!
