3 Reforestation Projects To Restore Your Faith in Humanity

In this video, we showcase three incredible reforestation projects that demonstrate the power of permaculture and ecosystem restoration in turning barren land into thriving forests and farmland.

1. Our first project features the Lebanese Reforestation Initiative (LRI) led by Maya Nehme. The LRI has successfully restored over 50 million square meters of degraded land in Lebanon, creating sustainable ecosystems for generations to come.

2. Our second project takes us to Mexico, where Jesus Leon Santos and the Center for Integral Campesino Development of the Mixteca (CEDICAM) are turning desert into fertile land through agroforestry techniques. Their work has transformed over 3,000 hectares of barren land into productive farmland, providing local communities with food and economic opportunities.

3. Finally, we visit India to meet Jadav Payeng, also known as the "Forest Man" (or the forest man of India). Payeng has spent the last 40 years planting trees in the Molai forest, creating a thriving ecosystem where once there was only barren land. His work has not only restored the natural habitat but also provided homes for numerous animal species.
