Hey Everyone! This is my first vlog! For a few months, I’ve been on a mission to learn and share the culture of different peoples in Nigeria.

This one is personal to me because my great-great grandfather João Agusto was an Afro-Brazilian. He returned to Lagos from Brazil around 1850’s and settled in the Brazilian Quarters.

In this video, we saw some of the beautiful architecture which the Afro-Brazilians in Lagos are known for. We learnt about the Carnival and visited the Holy Cross Cathedral which the Afro-Brazilians built. As they were the first Catholics in Lagos.
