First time sailing San Francisco bay! (Ep. 1 Sailing journey)

Ready for another adventure? My family and I have recently fallen in love with sailing. This is our first episode of our sailing journey.

We originally learned how to sail in Mission bay San Diego on a 22 ft Capri. Today we will be joining our friends Seth and Jordan ‪@SkunkMunx‬ who are skilled sailors on their 38 ft monohull sailboat on San Francisco Bay for the first time. We will be sailing from Emeryville marina around Angel island, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, port of San Francisco and South beach Harbor. We will also cover setting sails, tacking, using a sailing wench, variable wind and how to read a wind indicator, what "Helms a lee" means and going over what going into irons and luffing is. We also learned what it means when the boat "rights itself." Stay tuned in for more episodes filled with beautiful sites and lessons to be learned.
