In spite of recent events, I’ve been refraining from posting any throwback clips that don’t have anything to do with racism and injustice. However I would like to point out something odd that has been going on with some of my previous posts regarding Hawaiian spirituality (pre-Christianity) lately. On almost a daily basis now I’ve been getting random comments from people (most of them have accounts with no profile pictures) spouting things like “all you idol worshipping Hawaiians will burn in hell.” I’ve attached one of the more recent comments to the comment section on this post. Some are even using Google Translate so that their posts are written (terribly) ma ka ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi 🤦🏻‍♂️
Therefore I’ve decided... I guess I should share even more pre-Christian Hawaiian beliefs. 😂 Mannnn... I can’t wait till our lāhui is ready to openly address the toxicity of Christianity. Until then let's... #KeepTheConversationGoing
