Moweh is a Liberian singer, songwriter, and producer based in Philadelphia. Their name is a West African name that roughly translates to "who is this?". Moweh's music is a unique blend of alternative, blues, soul, experimental, rock, and electronic influences, inspired by artists such as Fela Kuti, FKA Twigs, Portishead, Solange, Tamar Kali, Alabama Shakes, J Dilla, Kimbra, and Sohn. Moweh has been singing since they were 3 years old, and describes their music as "the conjuring of a specific reflection or a moment... a yearning... a wish, a journey.." They have worked with and written for a few other artists both in Liberia and the United States, and are set to release their debut single this year.
