Following the release of his highly commended 2020 album ‘Waves’, Californian multi-instrumentalist, producer and beatmaker Paul Grant is back and readying himself for the release of his forthcoming album ‘Reflections’, with the albums first offering ‘California to London’.

Paul has been steadily making his mark as a go-to producer within the jazz-hip-hop scene, through collaborations with the likes of Kiefer, Braxton Cook, Emmavie and more, whilst also releasing four solo albums and a collaborative album with long-time collaborator, Adrienne Indigo. Across ‘Reflections’ we see Paul join forces with Adrienne Indigo again, as well as frequent collaborators Amy Ahn and Morgan Burrs, and also see the introduction of Benjamin Totten for the album’s first single ‘California to London’.

Talking about ‘California to London’, Paul explains “This track started off as just some piano and drums, but then naturally grew into a much more guitar-based track. It features the awesome guitarist Benjamin Totten, who I first heard when he was playing at a Jorja Smith show here in California in 2018. Later, we connected through Instagram and recorded this track remotely during the 2020 quarantine. Benjamin came up with the title idea as well, referencing both places we live.”

‘California to London’ is a great representation of what to expect from Paul’s forthcoming album ‘Reflections’ and delivers the signature sound and production of what listeners of his music have grown fond of; a fusion of Jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop, with intricate guitar-play and tones throughout.

Paul Grant is a multi-instrumentalist/producer from California who has produced, mixed, and mastered four solo albums (and one collaborative album with Adrienne Indigo). He has worked with a range of talented artists, including Kiefer, Braxton Cook, and Emmavie. His productions draw inspiration from Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop. In addition to production, he also does session guitar work for other artists.
