Labor & Delivery Story of my second baby - VBAC - Emotional & Traumatic Birth - Part 2

Hi Friends,
Wow, this video was pretty hard to record and edit.
The birth of my second son Arrow was very traumatic and emotional.
Due to his VERY short umbilical cord, he was stuck in the birth canal and was unable to come out until his cord ripped. This rupture caused him and me to hemorrhage.
I also sustained major injury and tearing because he came out so quickly after he was released.
Because of this and the amount of blood I lost through the cord, I lost over half of the blood in my body and during the next 24 hours I received three blood transfusions.
Arrow’s loss of blood resulted in loss of oxygen to his brain and it caused his blood to become acidic and toxic to his body. This got him admitted into the NICU at OHSU hospital where he received a blood transfusion also. His body temperature had to be lowered in order to stop damage to his brain and he spent the first week of his life in the hospital.
We are extremely blessed and grateful to say that he is 100% healthy. He recuperated very fast and passed all his tests with flying colors.
Arrow is a fighter and a champion and the sweetest ball of love. I could not be more in love with him.
My physical and emotional healing has taken some time, but, I couldn’t be more thankful to have him here and to know he is healthy.
A VERY special thank you to the entire team of doctors, and nurses who took cake of my guy at both hospitals and also to my amazing midwife Erica, who made this whole experience wayyyy less traumatizing for me and has continued to look out for us ever since.
We LITERALLY wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them.
