In this video we're showing you how you can visit La Romana, Dominican Republic without staying at an all inclusive resort! Specifically we're staying in the beautiful town of Dominicus/Bayahibe, which is close to La Romana.

So many people visit the Dominican Republic and only stay on the resort and don't venture off the premises. However, there are loads of condos and apartments available all over the place in very safe neighbourhoods that you can rent for really great rates. There's also lots of fabulous restaurants and beach clubs.

We give a tour of our apartment, walk around the town of Dominicus including to the local supermarket and then we head to the nearby Bayahibe to walk the beach and visit a restaurant.
