The FC Barcelona squad have arrived in Japan to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup in search of their third such title and their fifth in 2015.

Flight MH8170 took off from Barcelona’s El Prat airport at around 10.30am CET and landed at Narita International Airport (Tokyo) just past 8.00am local time after 13 hours and 17 minutes in the air. There is an eight hour time difference between Japan (UTC+9) and Barcelona (CET).

A 12,380km trip

After flying over Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, among many other countries, and after crossing over all of China and then leaving behind South Korea, the FC Barcelona delegation then headed to their respective hotels for rest. The coaching staff and players are staying in Yokohama while the Club directors are staying in Tokyo. There was a large crowd of Barça fans both at Narita Airport and the team hotel.

The team will have its first training session at Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium in Yokohama at 6.30pm Japanese time and then again on Tuesday, while the semi-final against Guangzhou Evergrande will be played at Yokohama Stadium on Thursday at 7.30pm Japanese time, which is 11.30am CET.

La expedición del FC Barcelona ya está en Japón, donde durante esta semana el equipo disputará el Mundial de Clubes de la FIFA, que podría significar el quinto título del año para el conjunto de Luis Enrique. El vuelo MH8170 ha despegado este domingo por la mañana a las 10.30 horas en el aeropuerto del Prat y ha aterrizado en el aeropuerto de Narita (Tokio) después de trece horas y dieciséis minutos de vuelo, superada la medianoche en Barcelona. En Japón, la diferencia horaria es de ocho horas más y, por tanto, se ha tocado tierra nipona a las ocho de la mañana y bajo la lluvia.

12.380 kilómetros de viaje

Tras sobrevolar Italia, Croacia, Bulgaria y Azerbaidjan, entre muchos otros países, y tras cruzar toda China y haber dejado atrás Corea del Sur, la comitiva azulgrana se ha dirigido a los respectivos hoteles para descansar (el equipo y el cuerpo técnico se aloja en Yokohama y la directiva lo hace en Tokio). Tanto en el aeropuerto de Narita como en el hotel los jugadores de han encontrado con cientos de seguidores culés. De esta manera, con el calor de los fans, se ponía el punto y seguido a un viaje de 12.380 kilómetros.

Ahora está previsto que los hombres de Luis Enrique realicen el primer entrenamiento en el Mitsuzawa Stadium de Yokohama (18.30 hora japonesa). En este estadio volverán a ejercitarse el martes, mientras que la semifinal contra el Guangzhou Evergrande será en el Yokohama Stadium el jueves (19.30 horas, hora japonesa y 11.30 hora catalana).
