On this day, 65 years ago Pt. Balwantrai Bhatt 'Bhavrang' ji performed this spectacular performance of Raag Gaud Malhar where both the Bandishes, "Room Jhoom Badarawa Barase" and "Surang Chunariya Deho" which are set to Teentaal (cycle of 16 beats). These are the traditional bandishes of this monsoon Raag.
Pt. Balwantrai Bhatt ji was accompanied by Late Pt. Babulal Pakhawaji and on Violin Late Pt. Pannalal Chaurasiya, Vocal support was provided by Late Dr. Damodar Hota and Dr. C.R.Jyotishi, prominent disciples of 'Bhavrang' ji.

This performance was held in the auditorium of Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, B.H.U. on the occasion of Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Jayanti, on 30th August, 1959.
