Iwaizumi Hajime and Tooru Oikawa have always been best friends, ever since they can remember. There was nothing they didn't do together, they played together, they enrolled and went to school together, they started playing volleyball together and always stayed by each other's side, no matter what.

Iwaizumi can't remember of a time when Tooru's bright annoying smile wasn't a constant presence in his life, he has never admitted it but he have always liked that smile.
And he wasn't the only one, everyone liked that smile, everyone liked Tooru. Out of the two, Oikawa Tooru have always been the outgoing one, the one people like, the one with tons of friends everywhere and always surrounded by people.
Iwaizumi have never been like that, ever since he was a kid, he used to mostly stick with his best friend Tooru all the time, but it have never been a bother for him, after all, he had Tooru, and that was enough.

Thought, as time passed, they grew, and things didn't change.
People liked Tooru, people always preferred Tooru, he was the Nice, Talented, Handsome boy that everyone loved, Everything was always about him.

He was the one with tons of fangirls and love confessions, if girls talked to Iwaizumi, it was mostly to ask Oikawa's number.

Hajime always pushed away these feelings, after all, Tooru was his best friend and he loved him dearly, But as time passed, the growing feeling of always living in Oikawa's shadow started to be more and more overwhelming, at the point that he couldn't hold it any longer.
