Houston METRO Bus 402 Bellaire Quickline, Nova LFSe+ Battery Electric Bus Ride

Come and ride with me in riding Houston METRO Bus Route 402 Bellaire Quickline (bus model: 2022 Nova LFSe+) from Texas Medical Center (TMC) Transit Center Bay C in Houston Texas to Bellaire Transit Center Bay F in Bellaire Texas.

About 402 Bellaire Quickline:
Around 2003 or 2004, METRO added it's first hybrid bus rapid transit service called the Quickline. At that time, METRO Bus Route 2 Bellaire (east and west bus line) was one of the highly used bus route in Houston METRO system. To alleviate the crowd and to optimize the travel time, 402 Bellaire Quickline was created. In other words, 402 Bellaire Quickline is the express bus line for METRO Bus Route 2 Bellaire.

The fare is the same however the frequency is different. Bellaire Quickline operates every 30 minutes during the weekdays (except holidays). Route 2 Bellaire operates everyday and departs every 15 minutes.

About Electrical Bus Fleet:
In mid 2024, Houston METRO added a new bus fleet into their system, that is the Nova LFSe+ (electrical bus or battery bus). Only two bus routes that runs electrical bus, that is local bus route 28 (Old Spanish Trail) and Quickline bus route 402 (Bellaire).
