Great for Starting Kombucha
If you're just getting into kombucha brewing, these jars are a great value for the money. They include everything you need for your basic setup: the jars, cloth cover, rubber bands, plastic lids, and even adhesive labels.

Don't listen to other reviewers who say these aren't gallon jars because they are; some people just can't math right. 4 quarts is a gallon and these jars hold 4 quarts. They will NOT, however, hold 4 quarts, plus a SCOBY and 1 cup of additional liquid (because that's more than 1 gallon). So do the math: reduce your initial 4 quarts to 3 quarts and 2 cups. That should be enough to accommodate for your SCOBY.
