Prepping for the engagement party: racial identity rant, grandma in hospital and LOTS of cleaning

in every season our God is good: suffering can be a stumbling block for belief. so much of our world is broken. God is not absent in suffering, nor is He ever out of control. He Himself suffered for us and is fixing the brokenness and heartache. through triumphs and trials, God remains faithful and will one day return to make things right and all things new. have joy because God is an awesome King. He subdued nations and chose our inheritance. Jesus ascended to the sounding of trumpets. sing praises to God in a psalm. He reigns seated on His holy throne. nobles of the nations assemble as people of God. kings of the earth belong to God. God is greatly exalted. God is described as awesome, a great King, seated on His holy throne and greatly exalted. as God’s people, we are asked to respond to Him by being joyful, to play music, sing praises to Him, sing psalms and have even our nobles assemble in worship of Him. God’s riches strengthen me with power through His Spirit. the Spirit dwells in my hearts through faith. i can be rooted and established in love, which gives me power to join with other holy people and understand how wide, long, high and deep the love of Christ is. it surpasses all knowledge, so that i can be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. by “the love of Christ”, Paul means the admiration and will to sacrifice God’s Son to display the affection and mercy He has for us. God’s People are strengthened through the riches of power, the Holy Spirit, community and being filled with God. i can pray this for: church, Credo, groups and my family. i should be strong and courageous, not terrified because of people. this is because God goes with me and will never leave or forsake me.
i find it hard to be strong and courageous when people are always trying to get me down and when i lose self control and self esteem. when God says He will never leave nor forsake me, it means that He has planned out my life and doesn’t intend for anything to be detrimental to me —— Boxing Day 2019
