Gyandan Global School`s annual sports meet held on 19th Nov 2015 to 21st Nov 2015 was the grandest and the most awaited event in the school calendar. With Mr. R.D. Singh India’s early Dronacharya awardees as the chief guest, the meet, organized on a large scale. The glittering opening ceremony commenced with the arrival of the chief guest escorted by the smartly attired guard of Honour. Wht followed was a spellbinding fusion dance, with energetic bhangra and thrilling western dance by classes 1st to 8th. The walk past by tiny tots charmed one and all. Undoubtedly the ceremony was the relay of the torch by the school`s athletes and march past. The chief guest Mr. R.D. Singh administered the oath to the athletes, thereafter hoisting the flag and declaring the meet open, amidst thunderous applause.
The bevy of events for the meet included 80m, 100m and 200m races, 4x50m, Jumping race, musical race, rabbit race, hurdle race, three legged race, sack race and spoon & lemon race. All drew hearty applause from the crowd, a fitting appreciation for weeks of hard work.
