Tolino Epos 3 REVIEW: Hidden Android ereader

Описание к видео Tolino Epos 3 REVIEW: Hidden Android ereader

Today I'm doing the world’s first hands-on review of the Tolino Epos 3.

It’s an 8 inch ereader with a 300 ppi E-Ink Carta 1200 display, and if you like – also with Android.

Find out in the video, what I mean by that and how the Epos 3 performs in everyday use.

--------------------

The Tolino Epos 3 is a high quality device with great contrast levels, a decent lighting quality and a fast, clean and intuitive user interface.

Of course there are some downsides as well: The price is pretty high, especially in comparison to the Kobo Sage, which mostly uses the same hardware, but offers note talking and Bluetooth by default. But then again, you can’t use Android on the Sage.

A potential issue can be the relatively short battery life. Depending on what your expectations are for an ereader, you might be disappointed. So that’s something to definitely keep in mind when thinking about purchasing one.

Other than that, I can recommend the Tolino Epos 3 to everybody looking for a lightweight 8 inch ereader with a good display and hardwarebuttons. And to everyone who likes to try Android on an ereader, but doesn’t want to rely on the usual suspects.
