India is one of the 36 countries where marital rape is still not a crime. But data tells us that Indian women today are seventeen times more likely to face sexual violence from their husbands than anybody else.

At such a juncture, the recent Delhi High Court hearings over the issue of marital rape continue to hold prominence for India's rape laws and our judicial and legal understanding of the crime. Through this special documentary, Mojo Story attempts to answer the questions around marital rape and speaks to the women affected by it first-hand, and also with the people who say that a marital rape bill may hurt the institution of marriage.
