WAVES : CLA Guitars (plug-in)

This is a plug-in that I use everyday. It's basically a shell for a stack of Waves plugs that Chris Lord-Alge, one of the world's greatest ever engineers and producers, uses. They'll never tell me what those individual plugins or settings are and frankly, I don't care, because this interface takes all the guess work out of setting them correctly anyway. In fact, for the stuff I do, it's a godsend.

When you hear one of my demo videos for any given pedal you are hearing as close an approximation as I can make to the sound pressure level and ambience of my little room with a raging amp in it. A mic slammed right up close to the speaker won't do this on its own so use the compression and reverb sliders on the CLA Guitars plug to do it for me. I leave both flat and I get that perfect small room compression and reflection that has been widely accepted as 'pretty good' by you guys.

The CLA Guitars plug has other features and qualities too. It has three killer amp sims built in - clean, crunch and heavy - that have probably been lifted from the GTR plug. These coupled with the slider algorithms give you a ton of very cool sounds. This is what I'm demonstrating today. Have a listen and see what you think.
