However, the surgery is not always successful and can lead to severe complications, such as extremely high creatinine levels. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of certain things before going for a kidney transplant.

Possible Complications in Kidney Transplant:

One of the biggest challenges kidney transplant patients face is the rejection of the new kidney, which is the body's natural response to something foreign. This rejection can affect the kidney's function. To solve this, patients are prescribed immunosuppressants or steroids to help their body accept the new kidney and maintain its health.

High Creatinine Levels of the Patients:

The body often rejects a newly transplanted kidney, seeing it as a foreign object. This rejection prevents the kidney from functioning properly, causing high creatinine levels. Unlike high blood pressure or sugar levels, lowering creatinine in this case is challenging due to kidney rejection. Patients usually have two options either take steroids to prevent rejection or consider a second transplant.
