A very enjoyable evenings session spent at Kensal Green station situated adjacent to the West Coast Mainline and serving trains in the London to Watford D.C line as well as the London Underground Bakerloo line where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Northwestern Railway, London Overground and London Underground.

The station was first opened in 1916 following the completion of the newly electrified Watford D.C line, the station was replaced by the current one in 1980. Bakerloo line services started running trains to the station once it was opened but had been running trains through the area a year previous.

The station had gained national interest when sadly in 2006 Thomas ap Rhys-Price was murdered on the station following a successful mugging. At the time the only security measures taking place on the station were CCTV as the station itself was unmanned. The ticket barriers were also left open which mean the criminals could freely access the station. There was a huge public outcry and political debate for station safety following the incident which demanded that the station be fully manned at all times until the final train had left the station. At the time he station was operated by Silverlink.

My next film comes from a very windy Sandy.
