So here's a Neo Geo AES I recently picked up which had a work ram error that I repaired.

To test your own Neo Geo here's the list of coloured screens you will get for different issues (no cart inserted):

Blue - All OK
RED - Work RAM error
Green - Pallette RAM error
Yellow - Video RAM error
Pink - BIOS error
Cyan - Memory Card Error

Note that it won't test the Z80 (sound CPU) you'll need to listen out for sound problems when you have a cart inserted.

To expand a little on what I said above about address lines etc, the address lines on each pair of RAMs will be connected to each other as well as the 68000 CPU. The data lines will only be connected to the 68000 for each RAM, not each other. If you test all points and don't get continuity on anything then you have found your problem. Usually it'll be obvious with a break in the traces but sometimes you just have to do some investigation.

Also, man I need a decent camera! Mobile phones are better than they used to be but still suck an awful lot!
