All The Basses 010: Rickenbacker 4000 VS 4003 Bass Shootout Comparison // Serek Basses

All the Basses is a side project dedicated to showcasing some of the perhaps lesser known basses of years gone by. I do not claim to be a bass historian, I merely want to highlight some of the more interesting aspects of these instruments, and to showcase their tonality.

There has been debate throughout the years about the Hi-Gain pickup in the Rickenbacker 4000 bass. Some say it has special dark magical powers... In this video, I compare a 4000 with the Hi-Gain bridge pickup on my 4003 bass to see if we can find any fairies. (Bonus points to anyone who can name all these bass lines!)
