There are numerous tricks to help you perform simple arithmetic in your head. I'm only covering a couple, but I think they are the most important tricks you can learn if you struggle to add and subtract without a calculator.

They are simple short cuts, but I found they sound complicated as I tried to explain them. So, don't be daunted on the first time through the video. Watch it a few times if that's what it takes to grasp the principal. And then, if you're serious about improving, practice, practice, practice.
