Want to get feedback on if this will harm my amp or subs. I'm just learning about dvc and coil impedance ohms. I bought these in enclosure from some guy but didn't have much power so started reading about wiring and ohms that's when I noticed they were different coils. You guys have any experience like this and what happens. I have a Orion D2400 amp 2ohms 800w rms. subs are 500w rms. 1242d and 1222d. I've had them wired each separate in series so one at 8ohm, one at 4omh going into one channel so that's why it sounded so weak. Thinking of doing this: one dual 4ohm In parallel so it'll be 2ohm, one dual 2ohm in series so it'll be 4 ohm then connected to each other in parallel comes out to 2 ohm on meter. Other option was wire both series and connect in parallel comes out to 5 ohms on meter. Amp rms on 4 omhs is 450w 2 ohms is 800w and 1 ohms is 1200. Well other than spending more money or just selling one and staying hooked up with one at 450w rms. what else do you guys think.
