How to Connect Analog Phones to VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter

Описание к видео How to Connect Analog Phones to VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter

Wire landline phones to VoIP by connecting traditional home telephone network to an ATA, Analog Telephone Adapter. There is no need to buy VoIP phones. Analog home phones can easily be wired to an ATA.

Follow your telephone company's copper line from the D mark to a terminal block inside your home. When ready to covert the land line phone network to VoIP, then disconnect the incoming phone line. Next connect the Analog Telephone Adapter to one of the RJ11 phone jacks. The ATA connects to your modem router. You are have now connected your telephone to the internet.

If none of your home phone jacks is located near the modem router, then a new cable needs to be run from the terminal block inside your home to a new RJ11 phone jack. You can also tap into an existing phone jack, but a cable back to the terminal block is preferred

The telephone wiring color code for a one line phone is simple. It's red & green. Red gets connected to red and green gets connected to green.
